ROBYN VICK

BSc (hons) , Vet Phys PGdip, MIRVAP (VP)

"From a young age I have always been utterly passionate about animals and knew I would love to make a career out of this passion. I first went to The University of Stirling to study Animal Biology (BSc Hons). During my degree I learnt a lot about animal anatomy and animal health which lead to an enthusiasm for the health and well-being of animals. Following this, I developed a strong interest in veterinary rehabilitation. After completing my degree I went on to spend the next two years studying for the accredited level 7 Veterinary Physiotherapy postgraduate diploma (PGdip) at The University of Nottingham and graduated with Merit."

Robyn has years of experience working around animals, big and small, and understands the importance of the health and well-being of a much loved pet.

"As a Veterinary Physiotherapist, I believe kindness, care and respect should be at the forefront of animal care."

Robyn is passionate about providing veterinary physiotherapy to the highest standard to improve comfort, function and performance, and overall advance the well-being of pets.

HISTORY AND ASSESSMENT

At your appointment a detailed history will be taken followed by both a static and dynamic assessment of your animal. This will allow Robyn to evaluate the condition of your animal and understand any goals you as the owner may have.

TREATMENT

Following what is found during the assessment Robyn will utilise a combination of both manual therapies and electrotherapies to treat the animal.

EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION

Exercises may be prescribed specific to the needs of your animal to improve muscular strength, range of motion and proprioception.

FOLLOW UP AND ONGOING SUPPORT

You will be given a treatment plan specific to your animal.  This may include follow up appointments. Robyn will communicate with veterinarians and other professionals as indicated. Robyn will make time to answer queries and offer continued support if needed.
